FAQs - The Giant Race

SAN FRANCISCO – RACE WEEKEND QUESTIONS:

What time does the race start?

The start-line will be located at the intersection of 2nd Street & King Street outside of Oracle Park (follow your fellow Giant Racers, music, & signs pointing you in the direction of the start-line). The 10K and Half-Marathon races start at 7:00 a.m. and The 5k race starts at 10:50 a.m.

Do you have a course map?

Yes, see below 5K, 10K, and Half-Marathon Course Maps for San Francisco.

Where do I park on race weekend, and what is the price?

Public transit is the best way to get to and from Oracle Park. Bike Valet will open at 6:00 a.m. on race day for anyone riding to the race. If you plan to drive, we strongly recommend reserving parking in advance via SpotHero.

When do I pick up my packet?

Saturday, August 17th

Packet pick-up will take place on Saturday, August 17, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Oracle Park during the Health & Wellness Expo. The entrance will be through the Willie Mays Plaza Gates at the corner of 3rd Street & King Street.  This is where you’ll be able to pick-up your bib, bobblehead, and t-shirt.

All runners will receive their finisher medal upon crossing the finish line.

Oracle Park Backpack Policy: Please note that backpacks are not allowed inside Oracle Park. We will have free bag storage available on 3rd Street.

Can guests/spectators join in on the fun during Race weekend?

Absolutely! We are opening the ballpark to spectators who would like to watch their friends and family cross the finish line!

Are participants allowed to run/walk with strollers?

Yes! We ask that anyone running or walking with a stroller starts at the back of the Race.

Are dogs allowed to run?
While we love dogs unfortunately they are not allowed on the course.
