FAQs - The Giant Race
SCOTTSDALE – RACE WEEKEND QUESTIONS:

What time does the race start?

The start-line will be located at Scottsdale Stadium on N Drinkwater Blvd (follow your fellow Giant Racers, music, & signs pointing you in the direction of the start-line). The 10K starts at 7:00 a.m. and The 5k starts at 7:45 a.m.

Do you have a course map?

Yes, see below 5K & 10K Course Maps for Scottsdale.

Where do I park on race weekend, and what is the price?

Parking is limited around Scottsdale Stadium. We suggest a casual walk from your hotel (FREE), a light jog (FREE), or parking in one of the various garages nearby (FREE).  The closest parking garage to the starting line is located at the Scottsdale Library and Civic Center on N Drinkwater Blvd.adjacent to Scottsdale Stadium.  To avoid road closures on the morning of the race, access the Scottsdale Library and Civic Center garage by driving south on N Drinkwater Blvd (avoid northbound lane on N Drinkwater Blvd by Scottsdale Stadium).

Additional parking info here.

When do I pick up my packet?

Friday, February 23rd

You may attend our packet pick-up event on Friday, February 23, from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Home Plate Plaza at Scottsdale Stadium (located at the corner of N Drinkwater Blvd and E Osborn Rd.) to retrieve your shirt, but you will be required to bring your bib with you in order to claim it. Otherwise, your shirt will be available for pick-up after your race along the concourse inside Scottsdale Stadium.

All runners will receive their finisher medal upon crossing the finish line.

Can guests/spectators join in on the fun during Race weekend?

Absolutely! We are opening the ballpark to spectators who would like to watch their friends and family cross the finish line!

Are participants allowed to run/walk with strollers?

Yes! We ask that anyone running or walking with a stroller starts at the back of the Race.

Are dogs allowed to run?
While we love dogs unfortunately they are not allowed on the course.

VIRTUAL RACE QUESTIONS:

How do I prove that I’ve completed my race?

First off, we trust you to complete your distances. But if you want to share and be featured on our results page, we’re using Strava & RunKeeper to track all results. We will have an entire page dedicated to instructions, FAQ’s, and information about how to use RunKeeper when we get closer to Race Day. You can either track your run directly through RunKeeper, or manually upload run times straight on our results pages. If running technology free is your style it is never a requirement to share your results with us, we’ll still send you your swag.

When will my items be shipped to me?

Your items will be shipped to you after the San Francisco Giant Race.
